I'm glad you're having these thoughts, m'lady! If you're going to build your platform as an author / consultant, etc. you'll need to build your brand, name and all...of course that does mean some editing what you can do. On all of my stepmom work I have to be very careful about what I write. Since I interview so many stepmoms who have stories that are so similar to my own, my story gets told through their words a lot of the time. But I do offer anon to the people I interview. It's a huge debate going on right now between stepmom bloggers. How much can you write and how truthfully when it is possible that you will be found out by your family members?

Ignore my question about dating your posts. I finally found the date. Forgot to put on my glasses this am. After reading Maria Shrivers comments about Alzheimer's and her dad in Sunday NYTimes Mag, I have to watch my comments. But still, forgot my glasses, maybe early Alzheimer's.

I tracked the hit on my blog post on "how to give useful feedback" in Typepad to a link here, via Nat at Rypple. Obviously, I'm still a novice at this posting/linking business. But thanks for the kudos anyway.

A question: I notice that you don't date your posts. Is there a reason for that?
